Frank Philip Stella is a house designer at beginning.When he entered the art scene,like any other American artists,he struggled with the legacy of abstract expressionism.He was searching for a new way to approach the canvas.
These two art work are from his hands.The color not much bright,so that his works make me feel down in some way.and the shapes some times not end with lines,so there are few directly shapes inside the work.
